I can’t begin to tell you what a fab trip we’ve had to Borneo and Singapore! It’s been perfect.
Thank you for my birthday treats, too.
Everything ran smoothly. The first day chilling after the flights meant we were fresh for the river adventures.
We found a great street food market along the beach and were the only Europeans there!
The sun bear and orangutan experiences in Sepilok were fantastic and the guide on the Kinabatangan River was great. We saw and learned so much.
Gaya Island was a treat. We didn’t dive but did snorkel; the resort’s reef has some nice fish to see.
We also did an excellent morning trip via boat – well led and catered for different abilities.
We had a full day snorkelling with Borneo Dreams, with lunch included. Three snorkels of around an hour each where we saw sharks, turtles and many fish. Not quite as good as the Maldives but still very very good. I was a happy bunny!
The Oasia Hotel Downtown Singapore was a great location. We were glad we didn’t upgrade to club rooms as we wouldn’t have used the extras and still had use of two rooftop pools and the gym.
Breakfast was delicious and we were just two minutes’ walk to the transport system and less than ten to the Maxwell Food Centre and Chinatown.
Everywhere throughout our trip, the people we encountered were kind and lovely.
It was totally fabulous and the perfect way to celebrate 60 years of shenanigans!
