Hi Gillian,

We had a lovely holiday at Secrets Bahía Real Resort & Spa - the hotel was just perfect.

They have updated the decor and the furniture in the public areas and it’s all beautiful; and the pool area is very charming with gorgeous gardens.

I think the bedrooms, based on ours, may have also had an update but not the bathrooms which are spacious but probably need to be refreshed a little.

Staff and service were excellent and the level of food in the buffet and à la carte restaurants couldn’t be faulted - everything freshly cooked and an extensive choice.

There was still some construction outside the hotel but once you are inside, it’s just like an oasis of calm and being right on the beach is fantastic. The fact it's now adults-only was an additional plus for us. Overall, we just loved it.

The weather was a bit mixed but there is not a lot that can be done about that!
